Make a commitment to yourself: set aside TIME FOR YOU with a regularly scheduled massage!  Massage is well known for calming the nervous system, reducing stress and promoting relaxation.  Massage kneads away tension and painful muscle spasms, gently encouraging relaxation and increased circulation which cleanses tissues of irritating waste products that add to pain.  

It's not just for vacations.  Massage is more than a luxury:  it is an investment in your future health, like drinking plenty of water, working out regularly or eating a nutritionally balanced diet.  We have all heard the expression, "The best defense is a good offense." As with many things in life, this concept can be applied to massage as well. Distracting and unpleasant stress related tension can leave you more susceptible to injury.
